Newspapers

Television
- Approximately how many hours a week do you spend watching television? I think I spend around 2-3 hours watching TV but it fluctuates.
- What device do you use to watch television? Phone, laptop,tv.
- What times of day do you usually watch television? I usually watch TV in the evening.
- What programmes do you like best and why?
- Do you watch alone or with others? If you watch with others, who decides what you will watch? I watch with my siblings and friends.We all collectively decide what to watch.
- Do you watch 'live' TV or on-demand/catch-up? Do you use any other devices to watch TV (such as laptop or tablet?) I sometimes watch 'live' TV. I use my laptop to watch TV occasionally.
Radio
- Do you listen to the radio? No.

- Approximately how many hours a week do you spend listening to podcasts or radio? 1- 2 hours.
- What times of the day do you usually listen to podcasts or radio? It depends but its usually when I become bored.
- Where do you listen to podcast or radio? I listen to podcasts at home.
- What other activities (if any) do you do whilst listening? I like to paint/draw when listening to podcasts but I also do chores.
- Does anyone else in your house listen to the radio or podcasts? If so, when do they listen? I'm not sure.
Film
- What films have you seen in the cinema in the last month? I watched ' Alien' and 'Despicable Me 4' over the last month.
- What films have you seen in other places – for example, through Netflix, Amazon Prime, satellite/cable film channels (free or otherwise) or streaming? Netflix and Amazon Prime.
- Who else watched the films with you? Friends and siblings.
- Who decided what films to watch? I decided what films to watch.

Online
- How often do you access the internet? I access the internet everyday.
- Where do you access the internet? At home, at school, commuting etc. At home and at school.
- What are the main sites that you access? Revision websites,TikTok, Snapchat ,Google.
- What are the main reasons for accessing these sites – for example, for information, to make purchases, communicate with friends or for entertainment?For revision, to communicate with friends and family and entertainment.
- What other activities (if any) do you do whilst accessing the internet? Nothing.
- What different devices do you use to access the internet? What is your primary device for accessing the internet?My phone and laptop.
- What social networks do you use regularly (e.g. Twitter, Instagram)? Why do you belong to these networks in particular? TikTok and snapchat. I use these for entertainment and for communication with people.
Final section: reflection
- How can you develop the amount and variety of media you consume? I can try to use more informative sites instead of useless ones.
- What will you change in your media consumption habits this year as a result of studying A Level Media? I will try to listen to more podcasts and read more newspapers/magazines.
